Feedback from participants
“I am a screenwriter and playwright by profession, and all my professional life I have been looking for the perfect way to work. This year, for the first time, I was able to find it in the Terrarium script residence, where I spent three fruitful and quiet weeks in the company of colleagues, each working on their own script. I managed to do the amount of work that I usually do in six months, and at the same time I came back not tired, but rested due to the Carpathian climate and quiet rural atmosphere. There are writers’ residences all over the civilized world. This allows people of this difficult creative activity to focus on work and fulfill a cultural mission for their country.”
Natalia Vorozhbyt
“The idea of the film boiled in me for three years, from time to time I sat down to write some drafts that ended their lives in the trash bin. The main problem was that the idea could not be realized due to lack of concentration. Therefore, it is difficult to overestimate the importance of the Terrarium residence for my debut project. A month without domestic distractions and with like-minded people who will always give honest feedback – thus “Falling” was developed within a month. First in the form of treatment, then as a full-fledged script. Two key components, isolation and expert feedback, work wonders in case of the writer’s block, and bring feasible results.”

“A residence is a measured, calm, and balanced environment where you can work on your script.”
Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk
“Find your own people and calm down. That’s all it takes to write. And nothing increases the productivity of writing more than the colleague who is succeeding. The Terrarium is the best kick in the ass for timid screenwriters.”
